The Zula B. Wylie Library Youth Services Department serves children, their caregivers, teachers, and members of the community interested in children's literature. We present weekly programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children and teens. Check out the Ongoing Programs and Special Events tab to see what we have going on!
Children's Summer Reading ChallengeSigning UpCreate your account on the Beanstack app, sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge, and log the time you've spent reading! For ages 0-7. Collecting PrizesVisit the library each week for a different prize! One weekly prize per person. There is no back tracking on weekly prizes. Grand PrizesThroughout the summer on the Beanstack app, you get a chance to put your tickets that you earn from logging your time read into the virtual children grand prize buckets. Winners will be announced at the end of the summer. |

Family Fun Night | |
Zula's Got Talent!Monday, July 10th at 6:30PM at the library. Youth up to 18 join us by showcasing your talent at Family Fun Night! Fill out the sign up sheet and the Youth Services Supervisor will reach back out with more details on your performance. Sign ups begin Thursday, June 1st and end Friday, July 7th at 6PM. About the Read AlongKindergarten, First and Second Graders join us in person or virtually on Facebook Live for a fun Read Along and activities related to the book. This event is limited to children who are ages 5-8 only. The video will be available on Facebook and the Zula B. Wylie Library YouTube channel for your convenience. Early Literacy Stations
We have 2 Early Literacy Stations set up in the children's area of the library. They are all-in-one touchscreen computers designed specifically for children ages 2 to 8.
The AWE Learning software included on these stations provides an expansive library of educational applications that are eclectic and engaging. From Math Doodles to Dora the Explorer, there is something special available for every child's learning preference.
BookFlix
A fun, new reading program that you and your child can access from home! Scholastic BookFlix is an online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning.
Your children can access it anywhere there is an internet connection. This interactive resource will help them get excited about reading and books and extends learning beyond school hours.

ScienceFlix
ScienceFlix combines curriculum-driven leveled content, interactive features, and intuitive navigation into a single, highly engaging mobile and tablet compatible science resource.
