Summer Reading Challenge
The goal of the Zula B. Wylie Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge "All Together Now" is to provide a diverse and inclusive summer experience that celebrates community connection and all that sparks our curiosity! We want to invite all ages to participate. Keep track of your reading on Beanstack, reach reading goals and earn badges that can be redeemed for prizes!
Prizes
Participants will be able to come by the library and pickup their prizes that they earned during this week. Prizes are subject to change and availability.
Kids (Ages 0-7)
-Visit the library each week for a different prize! One weekly prize per person. There is no backtracking for missed weeks.
You can also earn tickets to be entered in special drawings for a Litebrite, Spirograph Jr., and Viewmaster!
Tweens (Ages 8-12)
-Visit the library each week for a different prize! One weekly prize per person. There is no backtracking for missed weeks.
You can also earn tickets to be entered in special drawings for a Kanken Mini Backpack, Polaroid Camera with film, and Pixar's "Up" Lego Set.
Teens (Ages 13-18)
-Visit the library each week for a different prize! One weekly prize per person. There is no backtracking for missed weeks.
You can also earn tickets to be entered in special drawings for a Kanken Mini Backpack, Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds, and Lego Succulents Set!
Adults

In Nature: Action Book ClubJoin us for a very special summer-only book club that combines reading with community service. We'll be reading two books that honor the environment, our planet and how we connect to the world around us. Janet Forney
Wednesday, June 28 at 7PM at the library.
Join us for a live performance with Janet Forney, as she shares a positive message of diversity, peace and love through music. Janet is an award-winning jazz singer, Spoken Word artist, poet and writer. Door prizes and refreshments will be provided.
Kamica King
Wednesday, July 26 at 7PM at the library.
Join us for our Adult Summer Reading finale as we celebrate with featured performer Kamica King. Kamica is a soul singer-songwriter known for her smooth vocals and acoustic styling. With her eclectic blend of feel-good music, the classically trained vocalist has a knack for connecting to the heart of her audience, blending genres and weaving story and song together to inspire and uplift.
