Welcome to the Tween Services Page
We offer a range of services and programs throughout the year for tweens ages 8 to 12. We connect youth with free resources such as library materials, creative programs, websites and databases. Through the power of information, imagination and ideas, the Zula B. Wylie Public Library strives to inspire the tweens of our community.
Tween Summer Reading Challenge
Signing Up
Create your account on the Beanstack app, sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge, and log the time you've spent reading! For ages 8-12.
Collecting Prizes
Visit the library each week for a different prize! One weekly prize per person. There is no back tracking on weekly prizes.
Grand Prizes
Throughout the summer on the Beanstack app, you get a chance to put your tickets that you earn from logging your time read into the virtual children grand prize buckets. Winners will be announced at the end of the summer.

Tween Graphic Novel Book Club | |
About the Tween Graphic Novel Book ClubThe tween book club, for ages 8-12, is a monthly book club that read fun and inclusive books that represent the diverse lived experiences of tweens in the community. Book club meetings are a safe space to discuss the book, do fun activities, and connect with other tweens. Free copies of this month's book are available at the library on a first come first serve basis.About the BookFor June we will be reading the book "The Moth Keeper" by K. O'Neill. May Meeting Date:Monday, June 12th from 5-6PM at the library. |
Youth Tellers | |
About the Youth TellersThe Youth Tellers is for youth, grades 3rd through 8th, to learn the art of storytelling. The Youth Tellers participate in national competitions, perform at city wide events, library events, and more. Youth Tellers is currently on Summer Break. |
