Matching Grant Application

  1. Matching Grant Program
    The City of Cedar Hill in partnership with Neighborhood Advisory Board (NAB) created the Matching Grant Program to provide funding for a matching grant initiative for registered neighborhood organizations. Grant funding will be available on a 80/20 match basis for any qualified, neighborhood sponsored project/event(s). Matching funds may be in the form of cash, in-kind services such as donated supplies or equipment, and volunteer hours. Each neighborhood, with the exception* of those legally recognized as part of a Public Improvement District, will be eligible to receive one (1) grant per fiscal year (October 1 – September 30) budget period. Each application will be reviewed by the Neighborhood Advisory Board and their recommendations will be forwarded to the City Council for consideration and final approval.
  2. Capital Improvement
    Awarded up to $2,500 Projects could include but not limited to: Landscaping or irrigation equipment Park development/improvement Entrance/Features
  3. Community Engagement
    Awarded up to $500 Projects could include but not limited to: Block Party, National Night Out, Neighborhood Signage, Crime Watch Programs, After school activities, Beautification, Clean Up Activities

    You may only select one grant per fiscal year (October 1- September 30) budget period.
  15. Requested funds must not exceed $2,500 for Capital Improvement or $500 for Community Engagement
  16. 10% of your matching grant request.
  17. The additional match can come in form of volunteer labor, donated professional services or donated materials. Current volunteer rate is $25/hour. Documentation of volunteer hours worked is required for grant reporting.
  18. Provide an estimated total project cost including in-kind costs.
  19. Matching Grant Agreement*
    By providing this grant application, I certify that I am an authorized official of the applicant, am authorized to submit this application, and that the information in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. Signatory further declares that applicant, if previously funded by the City of Cedar Hill, has successfully fulfilled all prior Grant contract obligations. If the project is approved, I understand that the City will enter into a contract with the applicant Neighborhood Group to ensure completion of the project as described in the application.
