Cedar Hill Independent School District
Cedar Hill ISD is a diverse school district that prepares every scholar by unlocking their potential and channeling it toward a successful pathway. CHISD was founded in 1904 and is the premiere school district in the Best Southwest region of Dallas. CHISD scholars have graduated and enrolled at top-level universities such as Yale and MIT; and have served in the military honorably, while others have made the immediate transition to a successful career. Cedar Hill ISD is known near and far for its athletic success, including three state football championships and multiple state appearances by our basketball teams. When it comes to fine arts, few can match the performances of our Cedar Hill Marching Band or the choir program.
Cedar Hill ISD provides the popular Collegiate Pathway, which culminates with scholars earning an Associate’s Degree as 12th graders. In our Early College High School at Cedar Hill High School scholars participate in advanced academics and extracurricular activities. Charter Schools
Life School's Cedar Hill Elementary school offers grades K-6 and is a free, public charter school. They partner with you to bring out the best in your child through strong academics and character training and give your child a strong foundation toward college, a fulfilling career or military service.
Newman International at Cedar Hill's mission is to train and educate future generations of young men and women with wisdom, stature and favor; to give students opportunities to become whole individuals ready to serve the world by helping them reach their highest potential, and to provide in partnership with parents and community a well-rounded education within the context of American heritage.
Nova Academy is a charter school with a private school environment serving students from grades Pre-K through 6th Grade.
Trinity Leadership Cedar Hill is a public charter school serving students grades K-12.
Higher Education
Northwood University is a specialty business university serving adult students in Cedar Hill through undergraduate education in the Adult Degree Program, and through graduate education at the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management. Northwood also has a program center at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth to serve area students as well as military members and their families. Students can complete courses onsite at the Cedar Hill or Fort Worth campuses in the evening and online.Strayer University is fully accredited by the Middle States Commission on higher education. Programs such as business, accounting, marketing, information systems, and criminal justice are just a few that the University features. Undergraduate, as well as Masters programs, are offered as well as continuing education, associates and many certificate programs.
Cedar Valley College is located on more than 300 acres in southern Dallas County. Mountain View College is an open-access public community college that opened in 1970 as the second of seven separately accredited colleges of the Dallas County Community College District serving residents of southwest Dallas County, Texas.
