Steve Rhodes

Chief S. Rhodes has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement including more than 20 years as Police Chief. He began his career with the University of Texas at Arlington Police Department in 1982 and joined the Cedar Hill Police Department in 1985. After rising to the rank of Lieutenant, he was appointed Chief of Police in October 1995. During his career, he has been involved in nearly all aspects of police service including patrol, criminal investigations, community services, professional standards and traffic operations.

Chief Rhodes holds a Permanent Peace Officers License for the State of Texas and a Master Peace Officers License. He is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education licensed instructor and a graduate of the FBI National Academy. Further, he attended the Advanced Management College at the Institute of Law Enforcement Administration. Chief Rhodes holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington, attended Oxford University for Managing Cultural Differences in 1991, and obtained his Masters in Public Administration from the Dallas Baptist University.
